The age of selfies forces people to adapt to new rules of game. Social networks affect the human psyche making all of us do rather strange and sometimes even life-threatening actions in the pursuit of likes and shares.
To stand out from the crowd and prove to this world their value, people, including teenagers, often go to deal with their conscience, trying to make absolutely crazy photos.

1. Last year the world was struck by tragedy. Everyone has heard about Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 that was shot down over Ukraine in July, 2014. This guy, Gary Slok and his mother took selfie before taking off from Amsterdam on Malaysian Airlines. They took this selfie together, moments before the plane took off. Everyone on board died in the crash.
2. Last May Romanian teenager Anna Ursu burst into flames after touching a live wire while making a “special selfie” on the roof of a train. Unfortunately electrical cables sent 27,000 volts power through her body. Despite of the best efforts to save her, the 18-year-old girl died in a hospital.
3. Sea and rocks admire a lot of people and cause a desire to make original photos. Unfortunately that desire ended with tragedy for a Polish couple on vacation in Portugal. On August 10, 2014 they tried to take a selfie on the edge of a cliff. They both fell to their death. This couple has got children aged 5 and 6.
4. Wedding for Colette Moreno did not become a moment of happiness, because she died in a car crash on her way to her bachelorette party last year. During the overtaking car the girl was distracted by a request to make selfie. This image captures the happy faces of the girls before tragic accident. She had not noticed a pickup truck which took the life of her friend.
5. Hazardous elements of nature are always attracting people. A huge number of films devoted to this topic. Maybe this guy wanted to become a hero of our time taking a selfie next to a Whirly Wind (that’s how they call Tornado in Australia), and it could have ended with a tragedy for him, however he was fortunate enough to stay unharmed.
6. Aspiring journalist Katya from Moscow hardly thought her passion for the profession would be her undoing. According to words of relatives, the girl went into the bath and put the telephone on the charge. For some reason, it felt into the water. The cause of her death was the voltage power that exceeds the maximum in 10 times.
7. Height always attracts us with the most beautiful views. This was the idea of Xenia Ignatyeva from Saint Petersburg. The teenager was taking a picture on a railway bridge. Unfortunately she fell from 30 meters and tried to grab onto live wires. After hit with 1,500 volts of electricity Xenia did not survive.
8. This story the whole world has already heard. A 23-year-old student from Poland died because of taking a selfie on the iconic Puente de Triana bridge in southern Spain. Sylwia Rajchel fell from 15 feet into the structure’s concrete footings. Her injuries were fatal.
