Kim K and More Celebs Given Black Eyes and Bruises for Shocking Domestic Violence Campaign

You may have noticed a disturbing domestic violence campaign out right now.
Famous faces including Kim KardashianKendall JennerMiley Cyrus and more celebs were made up to look bloody, bruised and battered to take a stand against domestic abuse and let women out there know that it’s okay to ask for help.
These powerful photos were digitally altered by artist and activist Alexsandro Palombo for his “No Woman is Immune from Domestic Violence” project.
The images are quite shocking and hard to look at, but make one thing very clear: Anyone can be a victim of physical abuse…even the most beautiful celebrities.
“Life can be a fairytale if you break the silence. No woman is immune from domestic abuse. #Stopviolenceagainstwomen,” the message reads below the disturbing images.
In a related campaign, images of Disney princesses were also altered to make them appear battered and bruised.
“The biggest accomplice of violence in the silence,” the artist and activist explained, “A silence which every year kills or causes disability more than diseases or accidents.
He continued, “Domestic violence is a cancer that knows no boundaries nor social status, it can affect anyone, whether you’re an ordinary person or a celebrity. To defeat him you need to use the antidote of culture by educating and raising awareness on Respect and Equality. Each of us has to do their part to help increase awareness and to change things by any means.”
However, TMZ reports that the Kardashian/Jenner clan’s lawyers are are issuing a warning to the artist for using their images without consent.
But, it turns out that the images used are from commercially-available paparazzi shots, therefore, technically he’s allowed to. His rep told ET, “This new series is a contemporary art series, so no need [to get] the consent of the celebrity.”
Despite the controversy and how disturbing the photos are, their shock value will hopefully motivate more people to take action against domestic violence.
